The fugliest band on MTV?

GOT SPAM? JOIN OUR MAILING LIST!
We've all had the misfortune of giving someone our e-mail address, only to be inundated with more than we ever wanted to know about that person's band, business, family, ad nauseum. That said, we've resisted putting together a mailing list up 'til now. However, a number of people have asked us to keep them posted on upcoming Hooverville Rounders shows. Unlike so many other no-name bands, we're not so presumptuous or self-important as to call this a "fan club", or to use your e-mail address as an excuse to send you a bunch of junk mail you don't want. We'll notify you of when and where we'll be playing, and you're free to unsubscribe at any time...period! Who knows? We may get so full of ourselves that we decide to start a blog!

If you'd like to be notified of upcoming shows, send an e-mail to: Hoovervillerounders at yahoo dot com (use the typical e-mail format, we hate spammers as much as you do), with "Subscribe to mailing list" in the "subject" line.

By the way...does anybody know of a good online pharmacy, mortgage company, or genitalia enlargement system? You'd think these things would be readily available on the Internet, but damned if we can find 'em anywhere!

HOOVERVILLE ROUNDERS CD NOW AVAILABLE AT LIVE SHOWS!
The Hooverville Rounders' CD, "Good Time Music for the New Depression", is now available at all live shows. Julie Drake, entertainment writer for the Antelope Valley Press, calls the Rounders' music "a seamless blend of soulful Americana" (even we can't make this stuff up!).

The CD contains 2 Rounders originals ("A Cowboy's Better Days" and "Back to Bakersfield") and eight covers, all with the special Rounders' touch that's sure to get you "in the mood".

HOOVERVILLE ROUNDERS- COVER BOYS?
It was only a matter of time before the world took notice of our high cheekbones, 3-day stubble, and rugged good looks. The Hooverville Rounders have been featured on the cover of the October-November 2007 edition of the official newsletter of the Southwest Bluegrass Association, the Soundboard. Sure, it took a little bit of lobbying by the AARP, but we feel that the end justifies the means. Don't believe it? Click here and see for yourself!

We're still looking forward to hearing from "Tiger Beat" and "Seventeen" magazines...no doubt teenage America is clamoring to learn more about the Hooverville Rounders!

Here are a few Hooverville Rounders "fun facts":

Interests
- Groover's studying "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski's techniques by mail, in hopes of perfecting a banjo-case bomb.
Turn-ons
- Panhandle Dave says nothing turns him on like a good turn-off.
Dating do's and don'ts
- Always the gentleman, Dust Bowl Dave makes sure to hold his special lady's hair back while she throws up after too much Thunderbird wine.
Dream girl- Steve likes his women the same way he likes his coffee...hot, cheap, and full of Irish whiskey!

HOOVERVILLE ROUNDERS ON MYSPACE!
First it was MTV...now the Hooverville Rounders have taken another step in a pathetic attempt to salvage our collective wasted youth. Despite the fact that there's not a teenager nor pedophile in the band (Hey Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera are all grown up!), we've jumped on the MySpace bandwagon. It's amazing how many "friends" we've managed to accumulate in a relatively short time. Just goes to show how much easier it is to make friends when you can avoid social interaction. Now that we have so many friends, we're starting to put out feelers for friends who have a truck (in case we need help moving), spare rooms in their homes, and who might be willing to lend us a few bucks 'til payday.

Since MySpace is easier to update than this website, you can visit our MySpace...uh...space for updated gigs, music, or just to say "howdy". Our address is http://www.myspace.com/hoovervillerounders

Come on by and visit (you might want to pick up a 12-pack on the way, we're a little short on cash this week).

HOOVERVILLE ROUNDERS ON MTV!
The Hooverville Rounders are about to become the oldest, fugliest band to ever appear on MTV (yep, that MTV!)In a real stretch of our acting talents, we'll be playing...well, Bluegrass music! Watch for us on an upcoming episode of MTV's reality series, "Date My Mom". If that goes well, expect to see us on the spinoffs, "Fondle My Aunt" and "Spank My Monkey".

We're as baffled by this turn of events as anybody, but it should be a life-changing event for everyone involved. Maybe the Bangles will finally lift that restraining order against Steve, which has been in place since the early 80's (Ahhhh...sweet revenge).

We'll keep you posted as events unfold. In the meantime, we gotta get some tattoos, fast!

E-MAIL: HOOVERVILLEROUNDERS (AT) YAHOO.COM

IN AN ATTEMPT TO SLOW DOWN THE SPAMMERS, THE @ WAS REPLACED BY (AT) IN THE E-MAIL ADDRESS. YOU KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE!
